TATA Projects complete significant stretch of transmission line project in Thailand

TATA Projects, one of India's fastest growing infrastructure companies, and its consortium partner have completed an important 110-kilometer (68-mile) stretch of the 200-kilometer (124-mile) Surathani-Phuket transmission line project in Thailand.

Traversing thick jungles and mountainous terrain, the 500-kilovolt transmission line is the first to pass from Phang-nga province, a province in Southern Thailand. This project is expected to bring additional electricity to Phuket.

Out of the TATA Projects led consortium's 110-kilometer (68-mile) stretch, about 80 kilometers (49 miles) was executed by TATA Projects and the remaining by its partner.
