IREI has learned Taiwan Life Insurance has backed Stonepeak Infrastructure Fund IV with a commitment of $50 million.
Stonepeak Infrastructure Fund IV’s strategy is to invest in energy, transport, renewables, telecommunications, utilities and water assets. Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners has set a fundraising target of $10 billion for the fund.
Taiwan Life joins a number of U.S.-based institutional investors that have backed the infrastructure fund. These include the Rhode Island State Investment Commission, the Washington State Investment Board, the Oregon Public Employees Retirement Fund, the Maine Public Employees Retirement System, the Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana and the Seattle City Employees’ Retirement System.
