Swiss Life targets €750m for new renewable-energy infrastructure fund

Swiss Life Asset Managers has brought its second international renewable-energy infrastructure fund to market with a target of €750 million ($747 million).

The vehicle — Fontavis ESG Renewable Infrastructure Fund II — invests in unlisted clean energy and infrastructure assets and companies. The fund aims to build a globally diversified portfolio of direct infrastructure energy investments. Targeting investments in OECD countries, Fontavis ESG Renewable Infrastructure Fund II aims to build a diversified portfolio with unlisted assets focused on energy generation from renewable sources such as wind, solar, hydro and biomass, as well as storage and renewable fuels.

The fund is expected to hold a first close in fourth quarter 2022.
