Sustainable investments high priority for Millennials and Generation Z

As the generations that will be the most affected by long-term issues such as climate change and discontent over social inequality, it is unsurprising that Millennials and Generation Z have the highest consideration for sustainable investing, according to a new research series from Barclays Private Bank, titled Smarter Succession: The Challenges and Opportunities of Intergenerational Wealth Transfer.

With sustainable investment no longer seen as a passing fad, the research shows 37 percent have invested sustainably, and nearly half (45 percent) are considering it. These figures reflect a growing sense of awareness that accompanies Millennials and Generation Z of the challenges their generations face as they inherit wealth.
