Suffolk completes mixed-use residence for UCLA Medical Students

by Released

Suffolk has completed the construction of 1500 Granville, a multifamily, mixed-use building spanning 174,000 square feet in West Los Angeles. The new five-story complex was developed by CIM Group and designed by Lorcan O’Herlihy Architects (LOHA), featuring 153 units, 15,000 square feet of retail and 308 spaces of subterranean parking.

The new development reinforces a sense of place and the feeling of arrival in this fast-paced, burgeoning neighborhood.

1500 Granville was sold by CIM Group to a joint venture between UCLA Housing and UCLA Medical, as a housing option for UCLA Medical’s House Staff (medical residents, fellows and interns), medical graduate students and other graduate students. The complex offers students the opportunity for a more affordable housing option.

The building features a contemporary architectural design and offers a mix of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and live-work unit floorplans, with 16 units set aside as affordable. Resident
