STT GDC India breaks ground on one of the largest data centers in North India

ST Telemedia Global Data Centres India (STT GDC India), India’s largest data center service provider, has broken ground on phase 1 of its new greenfield data center facility, STT Noida DC-1, in Uttar Pradesh, as part of its multi-megawatt-capacity expansion plan across India.

With a planned investment of up to INR 1,100 crore ($145.1 million) for the entire project, phase 1 of this facility will offer up to 18 megawatts of critical IT load and is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2022.

“The STT Noida facility, once fully built, can support up to 35 megawatts of IT power capacity spread across 5 acres of land,” said Sumit Mukhija, CEO of STT GDC India. “We continue to be committed to supporting the burgeoning digital ecosystem of the country with state-of-the-art facilities and global standards of excellence in service through world-class infrastructure and cutting-edge solutions at our new projects.”
