Strathclyde Pension Fund commits $42m to Funding Affordable Homes

Strathclyde Pension Fund has approved a £30 million ($42 million) commitment to Funding Affordable Homes, a social impact investment company.

Funding Affordable Homes builds and acquires affordable housing to deliver financial and social returns for both communities and investors.

The company has a diverse portfolio of freehold residential properties across the United Kingdom. It is continually seeking opportunities across the tenure mix in affordable housing, according to its website.

As of April, the Strathclyde Pension Fund was valued at £26.8 billion ($38 billion).
