Stonepeak takes ownership of one of New Zealand’s largest retirement and aged care providers

Stonepeak has completed its acquisition of Arvida Group, one of New Zealand’s largest retirement and aged care providers.

Stonepeak first announced the potential deal in July, which would see it acquire all outstanding common shares of Arvida Group in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $1.25 billion.

“As one of the leading and most well-regarded retirement village operators in New Zealand, we believe Arvida has a bright future ahead and is well positioned to effectively serve the region’s growing aging population as a privately held entity,” said Darren Keogh, senior managing director at Stonepeak.
