Sung Eun Ahn has been named chairman, Korea, at Stonepeak, an alternative investment firm specializing in infrastructure and real assets.
Based in Seoul, Ahn will help to support the firm’s Asia Pacific business and the diligent execution of Stonepeak’s investment strategies in the region when he steps into his new role on Feb. 1.
Prior to Stonepeak, Ahn was chief county officer, Korea, at Deutsche Bank for more than 10 years. Before that, he spent nearly a decade at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he served as CEO and head of investment banking for Korea.
In those positions, Ahn advised on more than $150 billion in cross-border and domestic M&A transactions and helped Korean corporates, financial institutions and government entities raise more than $30 billion in the overseas capital markets through debt and equity issues.
