Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks Transmission has outlined plans to invest more than £2.2 billion ($2.8 billion) in Scottish infrastructure to support renewable energy generation and meet net-zero government emissions targets.
A Network for Net Zero aims to:
- Transport the renewable electricity that powers 10 million homes
- 100 percent network reliability for homes and businesses
- Every connection delivered on time
- One-third reduction in SSEN Transmission’s greenhouse gas emissions
- £100 million ($127 million) in efficiency savings from innovation
SSEN Transmission will now consult further with stakeholders ahead of submitting a final plan in December.
