An RFP for the establishment of 30 megawatts of ground-mounted / floating solar PV plants has been launched in Sri Lanka.
Ceylon Electricity Board, which launched the RFP, was established by the government of Sri Lanka for the development and coordination of the electrical energy requirements of the country. It is currently engaged in the generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electrical energy in the country.
The tender invites bidders to build, own and operate the project with a 20-year operational period. The facility includes the site, the solar PV plant, stand-by/auxiliary/emergency power requirements, water requirements, environmental impact mitigatory measures, transformers, switchgear and protection schemes, transmission lines, SCADA facilities up to the termination point, and all other equipment to operate a solar PV plant.
