“The FTTH sector may have faced some headwinds that have left infrastructure investors wary,” says Danny Mills, co-head of infrastructure, Americas, with UBS Asset Management, Real Estate & Private Markets, in a report titled, “Fiber-to-the-home: Missed connections? Finding the perfect match for infrastructure investors,” which was published in the June issue of Institutional Investing in Infrastructure (i3).
But recent shifts, including a stabilizing macro environment, improved financing markets, government support and subsidies, along with new business models, are helping to reset investors’ expectations of the market.
