What makes the wastewater space attractive? Several converging trends are attracting infrastructure investors to the wastewater treatment sector. An interview with Ross Posner, managing partner of Ridgewood Infrastructure, published in the October issue of Institutional Investing in Infrastructure, identifies some of those trends: an increasing need for water treatment amid decreasing unused capacity in existing publicly owned wastewater treatment plants, increasing regulations requiring commercial users to treat the effluent their operations create, and an interest in reusing that water.
