The real estate market appears to be at the beginning of the recovery phase of the market cycle, explains Todd White, managing director, portfolio management, with Principal Asset Management. In an interview published in the May issues of Institutional Real Estate Americas and Institutional Real Estate Asia Pacific, White elaborates on the market indications of this beginning of the recovery phase and what they might mean for investors, especially with regard to core-plus opportunities.
“There are market concerns the Trump administration’s policies will be pro-inflationary,” says White. “We share that concern and are currently monitoring developments with respect to tariffs, deportations and more stringent immigration policies, which may exert additional inflationary pressure.”
