Sky to bring full-fiber broadband to CityFibre network through long-term partnership

CityFibre, the United Kingdom’s largest independent full-fiber platform, has signed a long-term partnership with Sky, one of the biggest broadband providers in the United Kingdom. The new agreement will see Sky offering its broadband on CityFibre’s nationwide full-fiber network.

CityFibre has a footprint of 3.8 million today and is committed to expand its network to at least 8 million premises during the coming years Sky’s Full Fibre Broadband is expected to be available on CityFibre’s full-fiber network starting in 2025. Longer term, this will include more than 1.3 million homes in hard-to-reach areas through CityFibre’s extensive participation in the Government’s Project Gigabit Programme.

CityFibre is committed to accelerating the upgrade of its entire network to 10Gbps XGS-PON, supporting the introduction of an expanded symmetrical multi-gigabit product portfolio for its ISP partners.
