A joint venture between Skanska and SG Contracting has been selected to build a $308.3 million Hilton hotel adjacent to the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) in downtown Atlanta.
The 1.2 million-square-foot hotel will be the first newly constructed project under Hilton’s upscale Signia banner. The 40-story, 122,708-square-foot building will contain 975 guestrooms and 75,347 square feet of meeting and event space. It also will house a 6,673-square-foot pool deck, outdoor event space, a market and two restaurants. It will also serve as the headquarters for the GWCC.
The hotel is slated to be completed by 2024.
