Simon Ellis promoted to co-fund manager of M&G European Property Fund

M&G has promoted Simon Ellis to co-fund manager of its M&G European Property Fund, alongside fund manager David Jackson.

Having worked on the fund with Jackson since 2006 and played a key role as deputy fund manager since 2015, Ellis will now assume a more significant role in strategy and investment decisions, reporting to Tony Brown, global head of M&G Real Estate. With more than 18 years of experience in investment and asset management across all key commercial real estate markets in continental Europe, Ellis has led the purchase of many of the fund’s assets across 12 jurisdictions, helping to grow the fund to €5.1 billion ($5.5 billion).

Ellis and Jackson will continue to be supported by M&G’s growing European platform of investment and asset management professionals in eight markets, responsible for sourcing acquisitions and ensuring a portfolio that sustains the fund’s five-star GRESB rating.
