Sid Vittal has joined the Abu Dhabi Pension Fund as a portfolio manager for infrastructure and real assets.
In an email to IREI staff, Vittal said his mandate is to grow the portfolio and invest across primaries, secondaries and co-investments globally as well as direct strategic investments in the region.
“We are already investors in some of the large, well-known names in the sector, but are also looking to aggressively ramp up our exposure,” said Vittal.
According to his LinkedIn page, Vittal has worked in various capacities in the infrastructure and energy sector, including financial advisory, corporate development and M&A with some of the world’s leading advisors and investors in the sector.
He spent the past six years at Mercer, where he served as principal of infrastructure, sustainability and real assets, private markets. He has also held several managerial and analyst positions at SunEdison, Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton and Infrastructu
