SFERS commits $100m to real assets

by Reg Clodfelter

The San Francisco City & County Employees’ Retirement System has committed $100 million to Harvest SF MLP Fund, managed by Harvest Fund Advisors, according to recent board documents.

The investment, which is SFERS’ first with the firm, will be classified as a natural resources investment.

Harvest focuses its investments on energy infrastructure master limited partnerships and U.S. energy markets.

SFERS has 11.8 percent of its $19.7 billion in assets invested into its real assets portfolio, which includes real estate investments, and is just shy of its 12 percent target allocation to the sector.
