Seattle pension plan appoints new executive director

The $2.4 billion Seattle City Employees' Retirement System has appointed Jeffrey Davis as its new executive director, according to the pension fund’s website.

The decision was made at SCERS's Jan. 12 board meeting and became effective the same day. Davis had been SCERS's chief finance and operations officer since 2013 before being appointed to executive director.

The pension fund has made several commitments to infrastructure and real estate funds, including a $12 million commitment to Global Infrastructure Partners III, an infrastructure fund that invests in large-scale infrastructure assets globally, and a $15 million commitment to Brookfield Strategic Real Estate Partners II, a global opp
