Searchlight Capital Partners backs Mainstream Fiber Networks in Indiana

Global private investment firm Searchlight Capital Partners has made a strategic investment in Mainstream Fiber Networks, enabling the company to rapidly expand high-speed broadband access to thousands of unserved and underserved rural communities in Indiana.

Indiana-based Mainstream has been the leading provider of reliable, affordable fiber-optic Internet service throughout rural Indiana since 2012. The company currently serves eight counties across the state. Mainstream has received more than $19 million in grant funding to bring internet access to previously unserved and underserved areas. With Searchlight’s backing, Mainstream will grow its public-private collaborative efforts to expand this offering across the state.
