Schroder Real Estate has acquired its first property in Amsterdam on behalf of Immobilien Europa Direkt, an open-end fund managed by Zurich Investment Foundation.
Immobilien Europa Direkt was designed specifically for Swiss pension schemes and focuses on providing investors with a diversified portfolio of commercial real estate in the main western European markets.
The seller was the Dutch family office, The Maarsen Groep.
The acquisition consists of a portfolio of five freestanding office buildings in the Buitenveldert region, known as the Cuserpark office complex.
Developed between 2007 and 2010, the complex is located near transport connections to the South Axis business district, the city center and Schiphol International Airport.
The acquisition provides almost 11,000 square meters (118,403 square feet) of office space and has a diversified tenant profile that includes Eversheds, AXA and Nielen Schuman.
