SCERS commits $80m to two FPA Multifamily funds

The Sacramento County (Calif.) Employees’ Retirement System (SCERS) has invested $80 million with FPA Multifamily, according to meeting materials from March 19, 2025.

FPA Core Plus Fund VI received $50 million. The closed-end fund has a fundraising goal of $1.3 billion.

FPA Apartment Opportunity Fund IX is a value-add, closed-end fund. This fund received $30 million and has an equity fundraising target of $1.5 billion.

SCERS is a public pension fund with $13.9 billion in total assets under management, as of Dec. 31, 2024. As of then, it had a 9 percent real estate allocation target with $1.3 billion in total real estate assets.
