Savills IM sees investors’ capital allocation to real estate remaining strong

In its 2020 Outlook report, Savills Investment Management, an international real estate manager, outlined key investment themes along with insights into the Asia Pacific region. The report highlights that opportunities remain in the office, retail and logistics sectors, but investors must be mindful of asset location, structural changes and resilient formats, among other characteristics. The key is to create a portfolio that provides durable, resilient income while still being able to capture rental and capital growth from the continued economic expansion of the Asia Pacific region.

Savills IM believes that the lower-for-longer interest rate environment will continue and that investors’ share of capital being allocated to real estate will remain strong due to scarcity of alternative investment options.
