Saudi Arabia’s Hassana to invest $1.5b in TPG Rise Climate platform

TPG and Hassana Investment Co., the investment manager of the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) in Saudi Arabia with more than SAR 1.2 trillion ($ 320 billion) of assets under management, have formed a $1.5 billion strategic partnership in the TPG Rise Climate platform.

Hassana is planning to make a substantial anchor commitment to TPG Rise Climate’s new Transition Infrastructure fund. Bloomberg reported the remainder of Hassana’s commitment will be allocated to the TPG Rise Climate II fund.

TPG said the collaboration with Hassana signifies the importance of international and local partnerships in addressing global climate challenges. Hassana and TPG share a common objective of capitalizing on global climate investment opportunities, underscoring the country's evolution as a growing source of partnership and investment opportunities within the space.
