San Luis Obispo County Pension Trust selects HarbourVest to run private-markets strategy

The San Luis Obispo County Pension Trust (SLOCPT) has hired HarbourVest Partners as their private-market adviser, following a rigorous six-month search process and ensuing recommendation of NEPC.

The position will focus on private equity, infrastructure and credit and have a secondary focus on value-add real estate.

A detailed RFP was developed with minimum qualifications that included at least five institutional clients and two public funds with a fund of one or separate account, at least a five-year track record managing similar strategies, at least $1 billion in committed capital in each of private equity, private credit and infrastructure, and a willingness to be a fiduciary.
