San Francisco Employees commits $70m to Alterra IOS Venture III

The San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System (SFERS) closed its commitment of $70 million to Alterra IOS Venture III in October.

Managed by Alterra Property Group, IOS III is seeking to raise $750 million of capital and will invest in industrial outdoor storage in infill locations across major U.S. markets.

SFERS had committed $60 million to Alterra IOS Venture II in 2022. IOS II surpassed its $500 million fundraising target and closed in March 2022 with $524 million of capital commitments.

Of SFERS’s $33 billion portfolio, 16 percent ($5.27 billion) is allocated toward real assets.
