S.F. hotel sells for $270m, city’s most expensive hotel transaction of the year

Spanish hotel company Riu Hotels & Resorts has acquired the 531-room Sheraton Fisherman’s Wharf for $270 million. It will rebranded as Riu Plaza Fisherman’s Wharf.

The seller was Acron U.S. Management.

The new hotel is located at 2500 Mason Street in the heart of one of the city’s major tourist areas. It is also right next to the famous Pier 39.

The San Francisco Business Journal reported it is the city’s most expensive hotel transactions of the year.
