Round Hill sells €1.4b portfolio

by Andrea Zander

Swedish investor Heimstaden has acquired a Dutch residential portfolio from investor-developer Round Hill Capital for €1.4 billion ($1.6 billion), making it the third-largest private property owner in the Netherlands.

“The Netherlands has been an obvious market for us to enter for some time and, following our first acquisition in October 2018, we have been dedicated to source new potential acquisition,” said Christian Fladeland, Heimstaden CIO. “This portfolio offers a unique position for us to obtain significant exposure to a highly favorable residential market with strong macroeconomic fundamentals and significant nationwide undersupply of residential units.”

The properties are geographically spread across the Netherlands with some concentration in the Randstad region. The portfolio consists 9,544 units spanning across 77 commercial locations, 2,112 parking spaces and 567 other units.
