Rockwood Capital, a private real estate investment firm, has launched its next real estate fund, Rockwood Capital Real Estate Partners Fund XI, according to board meeting documents from the Nebraska Investment Council, which has invested in the fund.
Rockwood is seeking $1.25 billion to invest in value-add real estate with the new fund across select urban and suburban core markets with a focus on office, multifamily, and mixed-use assets. More specifically, the fund will “focus on synergistic ‘live, work, play’ mixed-use environments.” Some of the core targeted markets include Seattle, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Austin, Miami and New York City.
The fund received a $40 million commitment from the Nebraska Investment Council.
The previous fund in the series, Rockwood Capital Real Estate Partners Fund X, held a $1.1 billion final close in 2017, reaching its hard cap. Fund X is still investin
