Road, interchange projects make headway in Ghana

A slew of road and interchange projects undertaken by PowerChina are proceeding in Ghana according to their expected completion timeline.

In September 2022, phase 1, Lot 7 (Western & Cape Coast Inner City Roads) of PowerChina’s construction and rehabilitation of selected roads and interchanges in Ghana was successfully concluded in Cape Coast. Lot 7, one of the four lots that started construction in the first phase, is of significance to the social and economic development of Ghana, as well as deepening relationships between China and Ghana.

The first phase of construction/rehabilitation of selected roads and interchanges in Ghana includes the construction and rehabilitation of more than 400 kilometers (249 miles) of two-lane highways across the country and two new interchanges.

The four lots from the first phase have been completed, and the three ongoing lots under construction (Lot 4 PTC Interchange Takoradi, Lot 6 Sunyani Inner City Roads and Lot 2 Kuma
