Riverview Energy Corp. has filed a construction permit request for a $2.5 billion coal-to-diesel plant the company plans to build in Spencer County, Ind., according to the Associate Press.
The project would employ about 225 workers and create about 2,000 temporary construction jobs in the community.
The plant would plan to use 1.6 million tons of coal and produce 4.8 million barrels of clean diesel and 2.5 million barrels of Naphtha each year.
