Risen Energy to supply solar PV modules for Anantapur Solar project in India

by Kali Persall

Risen Energy Co., a Tier-1 manufacturer of solar photovoltaic products, has been contracted to supply 165 megawatts of customized high-performance solar photovoltaic modules for Indian renewable developer, Sprng Energy.

Sprng Energy, an Actis group company, purchased the solar PV modules from Risen as part of the Anantapur Solar project. This is part of Sprng Energy’s overall plan to install more than 2 gigawatts of renewable energy within India, surpassing the 1.2 percent target set by the Indian government.

“Developing a solar PV project under current conditions is significantly more complicated than normal, establishing a secured supply of materials, labor and timely approvals is an intensive logistical exercise,” said Gaurav Sood, CEO of Sprng Energy. “Our choice of Risen was streamlined from their historical performance and enhanced with their constructive approach to dealing our specific requirements.”
