The Rhode Island–based Woonsocket Policeman’s and Fireman’s Closed Pension Fund has launched a search for an investment consultant, according to a request-for-proposal document posted on the City of Woonsocket’s website.
Sources have revealed that the current consultant, River & Mercantile Group, has been invited to rebid.
The city is urging firms with expertise in advising municipalities, pension funds or other public entities on investment-related services to apply.
The deadline to submit applications is Jan. 13.
