ReNew Power, one of the largest renewable energy-independent power producers in India, has signed a renewable-energy agreement of 150 megawatts with Microsoft India, representing one of the largest deals of its kind in the country.
As part of the arrangement, ReNew will produce 150 megawatts of clean energy from a recently commissioned solar site near Bikaner.
The agreement is in line with Microsoft’s goal to run 100 percent on renewable energy by 2025 and be carbon negative by 2030.
