ReNew Power is planning to develop a solar cell and module manufacturing facility in Dholera Special Industrial Region (DSIR), located in the Indian state of Gujarat.
The greenfield plant, situated on 100 acres of land, will manufacture 2 gigawatts of solar cells and modules annually. The plant is expected to be vertically integrated in terms of processes and infrastructure for the manufacturing of solar cells and modules and is anticipated to commence operations beginning in fiscal year 2023.
Apart from supplying ReNew Power’s own utility-scale power generation business, the Dholera manufacturing facility will also sell components to other renewable energy companies in India.
