Savills has published Reimagining 2020 – Savills publishes China annual real estate market overview and outlook, which provides an overview of China’s real estate development tendency in 2020, under the influence of a shift in social development, focusing on sustainability, change of population structure and the macroeconomic environment.

“China’s conventional real estate wisdom has served the country well in the past, helping to propel China to global prominence, but it now seems to have run its course. As the domestic market matures, the global economy slows and demographic undercurrents weigh on the economy, a new approach to real estate and the built environment needs to be taken,” said James Macdonald, senior director and head of Savills China research.
