The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has appointed Donald Sanya as chief executive officer of its U.S. asset-management business, reported Carolina Wilson and Christine Dobby for Bloomberg.
Sanya joined RBC Global Asset Management in March 2014 as a managing director, having joined the firm from BlackRock, where had spent more than eight years as an analyst, then an associate and finally a vice president.
Sanya has also held the role of head of U.S. institutional sales and, most recently, head of U.S. distribution.
Sanya earned his bachelor’s degree in economics, business and mathematics from Gordon College.
