QIC has appointed Peggy Smyth as U.S. senior adviser, global infrastructure, based in North America, and chair of the CenTrio board of directors.
Smyth formerly served as CFO of National Grid U.S., one of the largest utilities in the United States, and is the current independent director of Etsy Inc. and an audit committee member of two subsidiaries of Mutual of America.
Smyth was formerly vice president of finance at Consolidated Edison and, prior to that, CFO and vice president of finance at Hamilton Sundstrand, a United Technologies company. She also held financial leadership roles at 3M, Deloitte and Arthur Andersen.
Her appointment comes as QIC led the $2 billion capital raising from Generate, and also recently acquired CenTrio (formerly known as Enwave Energy), along with its partner U
