PSERS invests $100m in infrastructure fund

The $52.4 billion Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System has committed $100 million to GCM Grosvenor Customized Infrastructure Strategies II, a closed-end infrastructure fund of funds managed by GCM Grosvenor.

GCM Grosvenor Customized Infrastructure Strategies II focuses on fund investments, secondary fund investments and co-investments in energy, power, telecommunications, transportation and utilities across the globe, with a preference for OECD countries. The infrastructure vehicle is targeting $650 million in equity commitments.

In additional commitments to infrastructure, PSERS previously committed $100 million to International Infrastructure Finance Company II, an infrastructure debt fund managed by Mariner Investment Group, in June 2016.

As of Sept. 30, 2016, the market value of PSERS’ infrastructure allocation was $936.2 million.
