Canada-based Portland Investment Counsel, through its private income fund, has initiated an investment in Brookfield Infrastructure Fund IV, managed by Brookfield Asset Management.
The amount of the investment was not disclosed.
Brookfield has more than $110 billion of infrastructure assets under management.
The limited partner fund focuses on energy, renewables, transportation and utilities globally. In June, the fund received a $300 million commitment from the Teacher Retirement System of Texas.
Portland Investment Counsel invests in private equity, private debt, publicly traded equities, and fixed income securities globally on behalf of retail and institutional clients.
