The CHF38 billion ($37.6 billion) Pensionskasse des Bundes PUBLICA has increased its international real estate target to 6 percent from 4 percent, according to a 2018 annual financial report.
As of December 2018, the fund had a 1.3 percent actual allocation to open pension plans dedicated to international real estate.
The international real estate investments held by the open pension plans are invested in a number of diversified, unlisted real estate funds in the United States and Australia, according to PUBLICA.
The firm holds around 70 properties in Switzerland, valued at approximately CHF 35 million ($34.7 million).
