A joint venture of PCCP and Panattoni Development Co. has acquired land for the development of up to 2.4 million square feet of industrial space at the Savannah Portside International Park in Effingham County, Ga., west of Savannah.
The joint venture will immediately commence speculative construction on the first phase, which will consist of a class A, 518,400-square-foot, cross-docked building with 40-foot clear height that is expandable to 1.1 million square feet.
This is PCCP’s 11th industrial equity investment with Panattoni.
Dayne Pryor, partner with Panattoni, said, “Savannah Portside International Park is ideally located directly off Interstate 16 at the newly expanded Old River Road interchange and will benefit from the Jimmy Deloach Parkway extension providing direct access into the Port of Savannah. Given the layout of the project, our site plan is flexible and could cater to users seeking 200,000 square feet up to 2.4 million square feet.”
