Pantheon, a global alternatives investment manager, has opened an office in Tokyo.
It will be the firm’s seventh international office and marks a milestone in the development and growth of Pantheon’s Japanese business.
In addition, the firm added three new members to its staff, all of whom will be based in the Tokyo office.
Akitoshi Yamada was appointed managing director, head of Japan. He joins the firm from Nippon Life. Ryo Okazaki, who joined from Mitsubishi Corporation Asset Management, was appointed vice president of the client service team. And Makiko Hagiwara started as compliance officer and office manager during June.
