Panattoni to build new logistics platform in Spain
Panattoni, a European logistics-industrial real estate developer, is constructing a new logistics platform in the Spanish city of Miranda de Ebro.
Panattoni Park Miranda de Ebro will have a total surface area of 131,000 square meters (1.41 million square feet) of gross leasable area, to be built in two phases. Panattoni said 127,773 square meters (1.38 million square feet) of that will be taken up by warehousing and nearly 4,000 square meters (43,056 square feet) will be allotted for office use. The complex will have a free vertical storage height of 11.5 meters (38 feet); 156 loading and unloading docks; 35 meters (115 feet) of maneuvering beach for trucks; 1,292 parking spaces for cars and 24 parking spaces for trucks.
The Spanish market has been facing a shortage of large plots for XL warehouses. Panattoni said the construction of this new project is a response to the high demand and low supply of logistics facilities in neighboring areas in both Spain and France, c
