Pacific Waterfront proposes $383m redevelopment of San Francisco’s Piers 38 and 40

by Andrea Zander

San Francisco Port Commission has plans to select Pacific Waterfront Partners’ proposed $383 million redevelopment of San Francisco’s Piers 38 and 40 in South Beach, reported local media outlets.

Its plans include a waterfront playground and community market, such as a launching point for water sports, retail, restaurants, cafes and bars. The project is under review by the Port with a formal vote expected next month to begin negotiations with the developer. Also, there will be a youth sailing center and marina area on the north side of Pier 38.
