OX2 has sold an 86-megawatt wind farm in southern Sweden to Lundin Energy for an undisclosed sum.
OX2 developed the project and will undertake construction with the expectation to deliver it in 2023 under a tailored EPC contract. Once commissioned, OX2 will be responsible for the technical and commercial management of the wind farm.
The project, known as Karskruv, will consist of 20 wind turbines and produce 290 gigawatt hours of energy per year, enough to power 60,000 households.
“The Karskruv project has been developed by OX2 for many years now,” said Hillevi Priscar, country manager of OX2 Sweden. “I’m happy that we will be able to contribute to the power production in the southern part of Sweden where the electricity demand is high.”
OX2 is currently constructing 14 wind farms with a total capacity of 1,000 megawatts in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Poland. This is the second agreement signed between OX2 and Lundin Energy in a little more than
