Ørsted and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) have forged a new 50/50 partnership to develop a number of offshore wind projects under the open-door scheme in Denmark.
The projects include the 1.1-gigawatt Vikinge Banke and 1.1-gigawatt Jyske Banke Nord projects in the North Sea, and the 1.5-gigawatt Bornholm Bassin Syd and the 1.5-gigawatt Bornholm Basin Øst project in the Baltic Sea. Together, the projects correspond to more than double Denmark’s current installed offshore wind capacity.
