Origin Investments closes second qualified opportunity zone fund at $300m

Origin Investments, a private real estate manager that provides solutions for individual investors, family offices and advisers, has completed the final close of its second qualified opportunity zone fund and unveiled plans to launch a third in the next 60 to 90 days, based on ongoing investor demand and a robust development pipeline.

Origin Qualified Opportunity Zone Fund II (QOZ Fund II) closed with more than $300 million of commitments. The fund so far has committed to seven different ground-up, multifamily rental developments, which are expected to total more than 2,500 units, in Atlanta; Colorado Springs, Colo.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Nashville, Tenn.; and Tampa, Fla. When fully invested, the QOZ Fund II portfolio is expected to include several additional ground-up rental developments, with a total portfolio construction value of as much as $500 million.
