Oregon Public Employees puts $100m in Brookfield, Harrison Street funds

The Oregon Public Employees Retirement Fund (OPERF) has made two co-investments of $50 million each to open-end infrastructure funds managed by Brookfield Asset Management and Harrison Street.

The co-investments were made to Brookfield Super Core Infrastructure Partners and the Harrison Street Social Infrastructure Fund via OPERF’s real estate portfolio.

Launched in 2018, Brookfield Super-Core Infrastructure Partners will invest in infrastructure assets, such as transportation and utilities, in the United States. As of August 2021, the fund had secured more than $5 billion of equity commitments.

Harrison Street Social Infrastructure Fund opened to investors in June 2018. The vehicle was created to service universities, health systems and government users, targeting social-infrastructure investments throughout the United States.
